The Board of Directors of the Deshler Farmers Elevator Company has declared a qualified patronage distribution at 100% for the fiscal year end 2009.  The total patronage refund is $1,250,000.  40% will be paid in cash ($500,000) and 60% will be distributed in equity ($750,000).  This equates to $.16 per member bushel for grain marketed throughout the year with Deshler Farmers Elevator Company and 6.73% back on member supply purchases that were purchased throughout the year with Deshler Farmers Elevator Company.  This is how the co-op business model is unique.  Profits are distributed back to the membership.

This patronage will be paid in September of 2009.

Over the past five years, Deshler Farmers Elevator Co. has distributed a total of $2.975 million in patronage and of that $1,190,000 has been in cash.

There is a value in doing business with the co-op.
