Custar has the largest receiving capacity of all locations. Custar has a leg with 18,000 bushel per hour capacity, one with 7,000 bushel and another 4,000 bushel per hour.

Custar has one grain dryer with 4000 bushel per hour capacity at 5 points.

Custar has 2,400,000 bushels of storage capacity.  Custar is also the company’s 65 car rail loading location.  A 65 car grain train will hold approximately 227,500 bushels of corn or 214,500 bushels of wheat or soybeans.  This train can be loaded in about 10 hours

This location has been loading approximately 2000 cars annually.

Custar is also home to the company’s tire shop.  We sell most agricultural equipment tires and have the tools to change and balance them in our shop.

Custar has bulk agricultural chemicals and fertilizers with a custom blend plant.  We have bulk fertilizer spreaders available for rent or they have custom application available for your convenience. We have the dry material fertilizers together with anhydrous ammonia, liquid 28% nitrogen and also liquid 10-34-0 for your starter needs.  We have liquid fertilizer nurse tanks available for rent to carry the product to your field.

The Custar fertilizer plant has  1000 tons of storage for dry fertilizer, 600 tons of liquid storage and  50 tons of anhydrous ammonia storage.

We also have custom application available for your convenience.  Custar has one Terra Gator with 80 foot booms set up for either water and chemical application or liquid fertilizer and chemical application along with a Ro-Gator with 120 foot booms for post spraying. We also have a Case Titan 3000 with a G4 multiplier dry fertilizer box set up to custom spread our custom blended dry fertilizers at the Custar location either uniformly or Variable Rate.

They also have a grain dryer that is rated at 2000 bushel per hour capacity of removing 5 points of moisture. This location has 119,000 bushels of grain storage and has the capability of dumping any size truck up to a semi.  McClure has bagged feed available for your livestock or for your pets. Dan Volkman is the manager of the fertilizer plant.

The fertilizer plant has a custom blend plant to mix the dry ingredients to make up a custom analysis fertilizer. We also have anhydrous ammonia, 28% liquid nitrogen and 10-34-0 for liquid starter fertilizer. The Fertilizer plant has  3000 tons of storage for dry fertilizer, 900 tons of liquid storage and  100 tons of anhydrous ammonia storage.

We have dry fertilizer spreaders and the applicators for anhydrous ammonia and for 28% nitrogen available for rent.

We have liquid fertilizer nurse tanks available for rent to carry the product to your field.

We also have custom application available for your convenience.  We have 2 Terra Gators set up for either water and chemical application or liquid fertilizer and chemical application.

We have one Case/Titan that has an air delivery system and booms to spread dry fertilizer in a very accurate pattern with the capability of dual products applied variable rate with one trip across the field.

We have one Ro-Gator available for either pre-plant or post-emergence custom application. This Ro-Gator has 90 foot booms.

The fertilizer plant also has one Hagie, equipped with 80 foot booms, set up for spraying either pre-plant or post-emerge in all crops including corn in tassel.
